Good Vibes & Heavy Grooves - Mr. OK and The Last Light is a reggae based groove collective composed of 6 artists who call the Southern Utah area home. Back in 2021 they formed out of a summer jam to support ideas and songs of Mr. OK, (Charlie O-K) from his live looping sets, to create a version of the songs that were more dynamic and instant than what he could create on his looping pedal. They planned to play a single show that December but after leaving the stage that night, they realized that there was a well of potential within the group if they continued to dig. From that point they have come together to create new visions of songs contributed by many members to record and perform unique a blend of modern reggae, rock, funk, & hip-hop. They released their debut EP, “Music is the Medicine”, February 2023 and is available on all streaming platforms.
Mr. OK and The Last Light is composed of 6 members from very diverse music backgrounds. Multi-instrumentalists, they all contribute major skills to the band. Folk, jazz, blues, prog rock, country, Americana, and reggae are all brought to the table through each member.

DYNAMIC FIRST EP ‘MUSIC IS THE MEDICINE’
ST. GEORGE, UTAH – Southern Utah-based looping artist known by the alias Mr. OK displays the perfect example of what it means to collaborate with other artists to produce something magical. It all started when Charlie OlGrady-Kessner decided it was time to stop keeping his music to himself. With a goal of expanding upon a few original reggae tracks that he wrote for looping performance, he made an effort to find and collaborate with a group of musicians to see how these songs could evolve to fit in a live band. By the end of 2021, 6 other artists eventually joined to create a small project called Mr. OK & The Last Light, which performed gigs throughout the past year. They say they’re in it for the long haul and plan to continue making modern reggae tunes for the world to enjoy.
‘Music is the Medicine’ perfectly executes the powerful combination of classic and modern reggae, giving listeners a soulful and embodied experience. With stunning vocals and
thoughtful lyrics combined with uplifting instrumental breakouts and a deep well of energy; each and every one of these songs are bound to inevitably spread joy and feeling as they encourage the listener to move their body.
This dynamic EP is a prized possession for everyone involved, and they can’t wait to share it with the world.
